Contrary to popular belief, not all attention-seeking habits are bad. You should be known for your work, you should get attention for it. Go out of the way, do fancy things to promote your content, and grab attention. Be a shameless marketer, always!

Why?

Cause that is how you will leave a long-lasting impression.

And then the chronology is simple, You grab their attention, you leave an outstanding impression, they remember you for a long time, if they require someone to do the work you do, you’ll be the first person to come to their mind, either that or you’ll get tons of referrals.

Life Anecdote — So, during the lockdown, a lot of people I know have started their personal writing pages or doing such stints, many of them have consulted me about how to start and where. Even those starting graphic designing. Some of the comments I have received include, “You are the best person to ask this.” “You are like the queen of writeups” So, this is quality content along with rigorous promotion. I post on one platform and make sure to share it everywhere. Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp.

So, even if people don’t necessarily read them, they realize I write and produce good content. They are reminded of it. Juniors, Seniors, Professors, Family friends, everyone know this, and cause of this attention-grabbing ability, I have actually been approached by two people only on the basis of referrals.

  1. As an editor for a website
  2. For a community manager

So, my advice to you today:

Go, Be an attention-seeker.
